Attorney Tom Wieser has many private religious school clients, who have significant protections that derive from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, the Minnesota Constitution Freedom of Conscience provision, and religious protections under various federal and state laws.

Tom’s services on these matters include providing recommendations in defense of religious freedoms by assisting religious organizations, including schools, in clearly expressing their religious beliefs in foundational documents, such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, employee handbooks, employment agreements, and job descriptions. Tom also provides fierce advocacy in defense of those freedoms when responding to discrimination charges pursued by administrative agencies, such as the Minnesota Department of Human Rights or the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, or when discrimination claims in a lawsuit raise religious freedom issues.
